Unique Design Project
Let me start by saying that these graphics are horrible. I had less than an hour for the entire document, and Sarah asked me to make some directions (without using words, as the target audience is illiterate) for a non-profit project she's working on right now.
I'm pretty proud of the work considering all the different design requirements I had to hit. And yet the graphics suck and I fear that the poor people that have to read these directions will be confused as hell. In any case, it was a very fun design project after about 30 different recent projects that were no more complex than "I want to build a web 2.0 company for a niche market. I'm thinking it should have tags."
That lower middle graphic is supposed to represent the words "replace filter when scrubbing no longer increases flow rate". You try expressing that in pictures! Oh, and the scrubber brush really does look like a strange jellyfish. I had to bust out my new drawing tablet for that one, because a generic brush just didn't cut it.
